In 1987, My mom, Frances and I took a small 2-story cottage on Hubbard Street and Turned it into a Comfy Place to have Breakfast and Lunch. My family and I had a food manufacturing business
right across the street, where we made Pizza Puffs. We loved the food business and decided we needed a restaurant in this mostly industrial area. It was warmly welcomed and our customers became close friends and now many of their kids dine with us frequently.
We focus on Breakfast & Lunch, with a big emphasis on using all fresh & many natural ingredients. Everything is made in house, from soups, strawberry jam, desserts, cole slaw, pork carnitas, corned beef hash, crab cakes, sauces, chilis, guacamole, pico de gallo and just about everything else.
I am running the restaurant now, without my mom, who passed in 2014. But I am not alone, I have a wonderful group of employees, that have been with me since almost the start.
